When History, Passion, Deep Blue Sea and Sun meet Olive Trees …
Theodoros Kolokotronis (3 April 1770 – 4 February 1843) was a Greek general and the pre-eminent leader of the Greek War of Independence (1821–1829) against the Ottoman Empire.
Kolokotronis’s greatest success was the defeat of the Ottoman army under Mahmud Dramali Pasha at the Battle of Dervenakia in 1822. In 1825, he was appointed commander-in-chief of the
Greek forces in the Peloponnese.
Today, Kolokotronis ranks among the most revered of the protagonists of Greece’s War of Independence.

The extra virgin oil from “Kolokotronis olive groves” is produced at the green hill slopes covered with olive trees, surrounding the city of Kyparissia.
Here, on the west coast of Peloponnese, olive trees for thousands of years spread their roots among the ruins of buried ancient settlements, being part of the history of this place, breathing the invigorating breeze of the Ionian Sea which swirls around the columns of the Temple of Apollo Epicurius, Ancient Olympia, and transfers mysterious and endless energy to the fruit of the olive trees.
And this energy is what is concentrated in the Greek olive oil that makes it unique worldwide.
